‘Tis the season to be jolly!
It’s that time of year again, readers. When everything twinkles, and kids’ faces shine, and people buy enough food to re-sink the Titanic. For goodness sake, the shops are only closed for one day! But enough of that, for us it means kicking back for a few days, indulging in some fabulous, inspired cuisine, and enjoying the many repeats on TV.
On behalf of Wenark Green, we wish you the merriest Christmas. Hope Santa fills your stockings with good reads.

Where’s the white witch?
Not that I want to meet Jadis, nor her scrumptious Turkish delight temptation, but a cuppa with Mr Tumnus? Now that’s a different story. No, Wen, it’s the same story, just a different thread.
Speaking of threads, here I am among many, with cuddly Shaka. In the wardrobe, well more a cupboard, ready to record the first sample for the Deadly Dough audiobook, which we’re hoping to release in 2024. Nothing concrete, but stay tuned to Wenark’s madness and mystery for updates.

M for Mike
Here it is. The new Samson Q9U microphone, complete with pop shield and stand, all ready to record the first chapter of the Deadly Dough audiobook. Over the years, Wen’s engaged in public speaking. Even won a few competitions. She’s also dabbled in a little voiceover work. To help us stay within budget, she’ll narrate and Ark’ll do all the techie stuff. He’s a dab hand at that.
We hope to start our new project soon, as well as writing the second Windy & Darling book, making new social media profiles, working on our self-publishing website, dealing with life’s crises, breathing, etc, etc. Time is of the essence, and waits for no one. Yikes!

Publication day. Launch day. Release day. Call it what you will, but the first in our Windy & Darling series of cosy mysteries is here. Now, the crazies begin. Writing a book’s all well and good. A momentous achievement so, well done, Wenark! Celebrate, take a breather, then crack on again. Your new book won’t sell itself.
With all the tropes of a true cosy, Deadly Dough‘s more Wenark Green than Richard Osman, but we did it and will continue to do it. Our way!

World MS Day
World MS Day 2023 is all about making connections. With this in mind, we are looking to work with Overcoming MS, the world’s leading multiple sclerosis healthy lifestyle charity.
Wendy’s diagnosis didn’t stop her from writing. Adapting to a new lifestyle, with the help of the OMS program, has allowed her to flourish and live a healthier life. There’ll always be challenges, but positive thinking knocks any snag into a cocked hat.

Set for a January release, Wenark’s second, quaint instalment, Fatal Fungus, sees amateur sleuths, Windy & Darling in beautiful Bogus Hole, sister village to Honest Tor, the idyllic location for their first cosy mystery, Deadly Dough.
When an unpopular local doctor is carted off to casualty after collapsing at the annual Christmas fête, there’s not mushroom for trifling. In the wake of his death, snuffling truffle hogs, Windy & Darling, are hot on the trail. Will our daring duo sniff out the killer of this not-so-fun guy?
